That time of Year Again

Most moms look forward to it.I have to admit, with my first child,I did too. Not because I wanted to be rid of her. But I was so eager to see Emily grow.

School.Yes,it's school time. Mary has had her meet-the-teacher-dress chosen & laid out for weeks it seems. She has checked & double checked her supply list & packed & repacked her backpack more times than I can count.

Joey on the other hand has kept saying his mantra "school is not starting...school is not starting..." for days now.

I have to side with Joe. For totally different reasons tho. Even tho I'm really excited about what they accomplish & what their future holds in store,I get a lil' meloncoly when the school year starts. It's going by way too fast. It went by way too fast.

Seasons of life

I really enjoy this season of life. I have adult children. It's my adopted sons that bring me so much joy.

Recently Forrest came to visit & he brought his sweetheart, Marisha. And she is indeed ,a sweetheart. I love having these young people come visit. Such a good example for Joey & Mary to see how happy your life can be when you live a gospel centered life.

I've really noticed how Mary had a void in her life when Emily cut everyone off. When one of my boys brings their sweethearts here bug looks up to them so much.

I'm so excited & happy for Forey!! He's going to have a wonderful life with Marisha by his side.

A Letter Home and A lil' Velcro is never a Bad Thing

Mary Has been a Girl Scout camp all week and we sure do miss her! Our home has been very quiet & even Joey keeps saying he misses her. He got teary when he read her letter home, altho I'm sure he would deny it.

I really ,REALLY miss her. I didn't realize how much of a companion she is. I can't count how many times someone, usually a complete stranger has come up to me and say.."I saw you _____ with your daughter hanging on the back" "Yup" I reply "she's my velcro".

He made it..I made it!

Joey spent his first time away from home this week. He went to Science camp.I'm pretty sure if I told him he could stay home ,he would've. But I mustered all my he's-a-big-boy-gotta-help-him-fly encourageing words & off he went! 4 days,3 nights, away from home. He had a blast! Joined a couple iof clubs. The dirt don't hurt club & the ever so popular Banana slug club. All ya have to do is kiss a banana slug. Ewwww. His first kiss. I bet he'll remeber it.

My first time.....my very first time

Be gentle, this is my first time you know. I just love reading other blogs and have been meaning to start one myself. So here I am.

I need to put my feet up & go to bed, probably not in that order. I will actually post a real entry tomorrow.
